Wedding location: Palazzo di Pierro, Sarteano, Tuscany ——-43.022358122700616, 11.859602684084772 - Located in the middle of an organic vineyard and olive grove, Palazzo Piero is a 500 year old family home that has been occupied by the same family over that period of time.
Getting there: Florence, 78 miles (1.5 hours), Rome, 100 miles (2 hours), There is a train station in the nearby town of Chianciano. These trains connect inexpensively to Rome and Florence. You may want a car.
Activities: We are planning concerts, meals and excursions during the week but there is also free time to explore nearby Sienna, San Gemignano, Montepulciano, and Lucca.
Other accommodations on the palazzo grounds: In addition to the Palazzo itself, there are 5 other buildings on the grounds with accommodations. Like the Palazzo, they are old and feature some degree of communal living. Only people who know each other will be put together in these little hamlets.
